RWVI supports Wagner Camp in Thailand
A project of the Wagner Association in Thailand.
In May, the Siam Sinfonietta took part in the semi-staged performance of the first act of Die Walküre on 16 May - a major task for a youth orchestra.
The week before, from May 6-12, a Wagner camp was held in Thailand. As before, they tried to hold the camp in a nice place where the young people could concentrate for 3-5 days. In the process, they learn not only how to play Wagner, but the entire context of the musical repertoire.  The camp is a 100% scholarship for the young musicians, so that all Opera Siam employees work on it as volunteers.
The head of the project, conductor and composer Sumtow Sucharticul, sent the RWVI a video of the incredible concert of the Siam Sinfonietta, after  the Wagner Camp - some participants not older than 12 years old -. The Thailand Wagner Society likes to thank the RWVI very much for the support.
