The Wagner Society of Avellino in Buenos Aires!
On 17 August 2023 the first international event of the Associazione Richard Wagner di Avellino took place in Buonos Aires, at the Auditorium of the Pestalozzi-Schule.
The chamber concert was performed by the soprano Elizabeth Steinbrunn and the pianist Christian Mario Usciatti with the musical coordination of Federico Ginzburg Natalucci (RWV Avellino).
The concert was introduced by a speech of Susana Faig, Director of Culture of the institution, and then by Federico Ginzburg Natalucci, Responsible in Spanish language of the RWV Avellino.
The historical importance of the concert was underlined, since it was the first event organised by a Wagnerian Society in Argentina after twenty years.
The President of the RWV International, Reiner Fineske, also expressed his congratulations through these words written for the occasion:
"Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
als Präsident des Richard-Wagner- Verband International, freut es mich ganz besonders, dass der Richard-Wagner-Verband Avellino, unser jüngstes Mitglied im internationalen Verband, ein Konzert in Buenos Aires veranstaltet. So verbindet sich die Alte Welt mit der Neuen Welt mit dem Komponisten und Universalgenie Richard Wagner, dem berühmtesten deutschen Komponisten. Meine herzlichste Gratulation und alle Meine guten Wünsche begleiten das Projekt"
Before the beginning of the concert, a video of regards by the President Luca Maria Spagnuolo (RWV Avellino) was projected.
The first part of the concert began with Lieder By Schumann, Schubert and Strauss then a piano solo work of Schubert.
The second part included the work of nationalistic songs of Argentinean composers and Arias of Puccini, Verdi and Wagner.
At the end of the concert, the audience expressed a huge enthusiasm and an encore of Puccini was given.
We were honoured to receive the support of the United Nations Arts & Sciences, from the member Dr. Sergio Sosa Battaglia and the support of the German Embassy in Buenos Aires through one of the most important institutions of the country, Pestalozzi-Schule.

Primer concierto internacional de la RWV de Avellino, Italia.
El pasado jueves 17 de agosto, en el auditorio del Colegio Pestalozzi (Pestalozzi-Schule) tuvo lugar la primera actividad internacional de nuestra asociación en Buenos Aires.
El concierto de cámara fue integrado por la soprano Elizabeth Steinbrunn, el pianista Christian Mario Usciatti y la curaduría musical estuvo a cargo de Federico Ginzburg Natalucci (RWV Avellino).
El concierto fue introducido por el discurso de la Directora de Cultura de la institución, Susana Faig, seguido por las palabras de Federico Ginzburg Natalucci, Responsable en lengua española de la RWV Avellino.
Luego de contar al público la importancia histórica del concierto, el mismo marcó el primer evento luego de 20 años sin actividad de una asociación wagneriana en Argentina, se leyó el saludo que nuestro presidente de la RWV International, Reiner Fineske, escribió para la ocasión:
"Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,
als Präsident des Richard-Wagner- Verband International, freut es mich ganz besonders, dass der Richard-Wagner-Verband Avellino, unser jüngstes Mitglied im internationalen Verband, ein Konzert in Buenos Aires veranstaltet. So verbindet sich die Alte Welt mit der Neuen Welt mit dem Komponisten und Universalgenie Richard Wagner, dem berühmtesten deutschen Komponisten. Meine herzlichste Gratulation und alle Meine guten Wünsche begleiten das Projekt"
Finalmente, antes de comenzar el concierto, la audiencia recibió calurosamente las palabras del nuestro presidente Luca Maria Spagnuolo (RWV Avellino) directamente desde un vídeo subtitulado al castellano.
La primer parte del concierto comenzó por una selección de Lieder de Schumann, Schubert y Strauss, seguido por una obra para piano solo de Schubert.
En la segunda parte se incluyeron canciones nacionalistas argentinas y algunas arias de Ópera de Puccini, Verdi y Wagner.
La velada concluyó luego de que el entusiasmado público recibió un bis de Puccini por parte de los músicos.
Tuvimos el honor de recibir el apoyo y aval de Naciones Unidas Arts & Sciences (UNOTA) gracias al miembro y su gestión, Dr. Sergio Sosa Battaglia, así como también, de recibir el apoyo de la Embajada Alemana en Buenos Aires con su presencia a través del Pestalozzi-Schule.
