Update! Wagner Society New York to present its seminar on Der fliegende holländer as a Webinar
SEMINAR/WEBINAR ON DER FLIEGENDE HOLLÃNDER!
Monday, June 29, 7:00-9:00 pm and Wednesday, July 1, 7:00-9:00 pm (US EST)
The Wagner Society of New York is excited to present its Seminar/Webinar, originally scheduled for March 15, now in two sessions: Monday, June 29, 7:00-9:00 pm, and Wednesday, July 1, 7:00 pm-9:00 pm.
All of the originally announced superb scholars and musicians accepted the invitation and look forward to the new format, with visuals.
Announcing new details and additions for the WSNY SEMINAR/WEBINAR on Der fliegende Holländer.

All originally announced seminar speakers will participate in a virtual format. as follows:
Session 1: Hans Vaget, Peter Bloom, Joe Pearce;
Session 2: Victoria Bond, Jeffrey Swann.
Addition to the program! Interview with two cast members: Franz-Josef Selig (Daland) and David Portillo (Steersman). In Session 1, June 29. To be interviewed by F. Peter Phillips.
More exciting news: The Met's Great Performances will be screening the new Met production beginning on July 5 (Locally, Thirteen is showing it on 7/5 at noon). Prepare for this by joining WSNY's Seminar/Webinar.
Note that two of the cast members (Daland (Selig) and the Steersman (Portillo)) will be interviewed in Session 1.
Virtual news: Budapest Wagner Days 2020 will include their entire Ring cycle from 2015 and 2016 (June 18-21), plus Die Meistersinger, Der fliegende Holländer, and Tannhäuser. See WSNY website www.wagnersocietyny.org for full details.
