WS London announces the winners of the 2020 Young Lecturer Prize
WINNERS OF THE 2020 YOUNG LECTURER PRIZE
The WS London are very pleased to announce that the winners of the first Wagner Society Young Lecturer Prizes are:
YOUNG LECTURER PRIZE: GENEVIEVE ROBYN ARKLE
for her lecture on Mahler Encountering Parsifal: The impact of Wagnerian aesthetics and the legacy of Wagner’s Parsifal on the life and works of Gustav Mahler.
AUDIENCE PRIZE: TRISTAN HARKCOM
for his lecture on “Remembrances and Forebodings”: Traumatic memory in the life and works of Richard Wagner.
The WS London would also like to express their great thanks to Professor John Deathridge as head of the jury. They will be publishing the winning lecture in Wagner News, and Genevieve will be speaking to the Society later next year.
