Roberto Alagna withdraws from the Bayreuth Festival 2018

On 29 June 2018, the artist informed the Festival artistic direction through his agency of his cancellation, citing the following reason: “Mr. Alagna has to cancel the new production of Lohengrin because he wasn’t able to sufficiently study the part due to work overload.”
The artistic direction of the Bayreuth Festival is currently conducting an intense research for a singer to replace Roberto Alagna.
