Update from the Leipzig Wagner Festival
Dear Wagner friends,
To mark the occasion, the Richard Wagner Association Leipzig has put together a festival programme which I would like to recommend to you today. You will find it at https://wagner22.wagner-verband-leipzig.de/.
There you will find a wide range of events from a gala dinner to lectures, readings, guided tours, excursions and an exhibition "Wedding March with War of the Roses. Wagner and Mendelssohn in Leipzig" and an academic conference "Mendelssohn and Wagner. Two leading figures in Leipzig's music history". For this we have found friendly cooperation partners here in Leipzig who gratefully support our cause. A special highlight is the staged concert "Ring in 100 minutes" on Wednesday, 22 June 2022 at 6 pm in the Goethe Theatre in Bad Lauchstädt. As part of our promotion of young talent, former scholarship holders will sing parts from Wagner's tetralogy in an arrangement by Jasmin Solfaghari. Admission price 50 €. If you want to make a complete package out of it, take part in our entire excursion with bus transfer from Leipzig to Bad Lauchstädt, guided tour, coffee table, performance and final reception in the Kursaal (with catering, 2 - 2 p.m.) for €125.
