We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of our highly esteemed colleague, friend and President of the Cercle Richard Wagner Marseille Provence and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and the members of his Wagner Society. In our thoughts, we will all attend the funeral service in Marseille.

André Demarck was not only present at our international congresses, but he was a living part of all of us, who always stood up for all questions around Richard Wagner, his work and his members and made a significant contribution to our self-image as Wagner Societies. In particular, his international commitment and his presence on behalf of Marseille and Provence will remain in the memory of all who knew him personally.

We wish his family strength and confidence for the future ahead of them in the coming weeks and months.
