Letter of condolence from RWVI President Eggers on the death of Dietmar Schaffer

Dear Frau von Wechmar,
I was profoundly sorry to learn of the recent death of Mr. Dietmar Schaffer, Chairman of the Richard Wagner Association of Coburg, Germany.
On the occasion of this painful loss, I should like to convey to you and to the Richard-Wagner-Association of Coburg, the heartfelt condolences of the Richard-Wagner-Verband International (RWVI) and of all our Wagner society members.
At the recent board meeting of the RWVI on 17 August 2017 in Bayreuth, we observed a minute's silence in honour of Dietmar Schaffer.
Dietmar Schaffer dedicated himself with great merit to the works of Richard Wagner, to the Richard Wagner Association of Coburg, and to the RWVI.
The RWVI will henceforth honour his memory.
